Reflection Week Fourteen

This week is the last week for this semester. Don’t be sad because you’re saying goodbye, you should be happy because you have memories with them that you’ll cherish forever. All I know that I was enchanted to meet you, Miss Amreet.

For this week we were having all the presentation for the digital storytelling project. The first group who was presenting was Jasmin’s group. Their short movie entitled ‘The Wishing Star’. The story was about two girls who had the same faces. One of the girl is from the rich family and another one is beyond. The rich girl has everything but she was longing for the love between her and her parents. Her parents were so busy until they did not have time to spend with her daughter. Besides, the another girl was came from poor family and she has to work for life and she was wondering to get out from her poor life and become rich. They hate themselves and they wish they can change their life with someone else. One day, these two girls met each other and be friend and they exchange their life. Finally, they feel that it was not worth to be someone else. Being their selves can give happiness to them. So, the moral values for this story are, we need to be ourselves and be appreciate with all the things that we have no matter how our life was being fated. There are so many people who wish to be you outside there, so just be thankful with what you have.

The second group that presenting was Liyana’s group. Their short movie entitled ‘The Miracle of Altruism’. Altruism or selflessness is the principle or practice of concern for the welfare of others. Their short movie was very touch my feeling. It is about a friend who very cares about her friends even she is in sadness. She will do anything to help her friends as long as her friends happy. The moral values that I get from this movie is we need to help each other and do not be too selfish. If we treat people with goodness, that’s how people will treat us back.

The next group was presenting about a love story between a blind girl with a piano guy who suffered from heart disease. The girl’s father unlike the guy and the father warned the guy to stay away from his daughter. The story ending with a sad ending. Finally the guy dead because of the heart disease and they were not mean to each other. The last group that be presenting on that day was Nadhirah’s group. Their group presented a short movie entitled ‘The Clever Mother’.

Finally, this week is the last week for this semester. I have learn many new things about this subject. Maybe I can use the experiences that I have at my workplace in the future. I would like to thank to Miss Amreet because has taught me many things about multimedia and web. This subject is really beneficial for me. Even though Miss Amreet gave a ton of assignments, but from the assignments that she gave I have learned and experience a lot of new things about technology. I think that’s all from me. Once again, thank you Miss for all of the knowledge that you gives to me. You are a very sporting and kind lecturer. I hope we will meet again. Take care of yourself. May God bless you. Bye.

Reflection Week Thirteen

Oh my God! This is a very hectic week.

This week is the due date for us to submit our final project. We need to really workout for our final project. We need to present our final project on this Wednesday. We do have class on Monday but Miss Amreet just let us do our own work. So we use that leisure time by finishing our final project. All the picture’s editing have been settled and we just need to include our voice to complete it. Miss Amreet also open a question and answer session on that day. Finally, we manage to finish our final project which entitle the ‘Sister Swap’. On Wednesday, there are three group that presenting on that day including my group. We satisfied with our work that we did together. Our video was quite longer but everybody in the class are willing to wait and watched until the end of the story. First group that presenting on that day was Syahira’s group. Their movie was very awesome. The story is about friendship and keeping a healthy diet. I was very enjoyed watching their movie. Second group that also present on that day was Nuraminah’s group. Their movie also quite interesting. They told about how was a girl life in a university. There still three group who did not present yet and they will be presenting on the next week. In addition, we did not finished yet, we still have report to do and it have to be submit by next Wednesday. I hope I can follow the flows. That’s all for this week I think. See you on the last week. Narrative Essay

A Consequence of Killer-Litter

             

 

Jason, Samy and Michael were standing below their apartment block talking when out of the blue, bottle was thrown from above and landed on Michael’s head. The glass shattered and Michael was knocked unconscious. Jason was startled at this but he immediately knelt down beside Michael to see the injury. There was a deep gash on Michael’s head and blood was streaming out of it. Samy had instinctively looked up and he saw a lady duck away from a window on the fourth floor. While Jason, who knew first aid, attended to the unconscious Michael, Samy ran towards the public telephone and called an ambulance.

The ambulance arrived in a few moments and carried Michael into the ambulance. Jason had used his tee-shirt to tie around Michael’s head to stop the bleeding. The medics did not remove the blood-soaked tee-shirt saying that he needed to be brought to the hospital as soon as possible because Michael had lost a lot of blood. The police arrived just as the ambulance was moving off. Samy told the policeman what he saw and together with the police, the two friends made their way to the fourth floor.

The woman whom Samy had seen confessed to throwing the bottle. She said that she was sorry that she had caused the tragedy. The police brought her to the police station. The two friends were also asked to drop by later as they wanted statements from them as well.

Later in the day, Jayson and Samy visited Michael at the hospital. The doctors had cleaned and stitched his wound. Michael’s head was bandaged so they were not able to see the stitches. The doctors had said that the danger was over and that he would be well again soon. Jason and Samy related to him how the culprit had already been arrested by the police.   

Reflection Week Twelve

Hi everybody! I hope all of you are in a pink of health.

For this week we did not have the one hour class because it is a public holiday in conjunction with the Merdeka celebration day. Even though we did not have any classes on Monday, we still busy doing our final project which is the digital story telling as the due date of submitting that last project was around the corner. One of my group members whom is Syakirah is busy editing the pictures and video for our digital story telling. She took part to doing that part because she really good in computerize and all of us really trust her. While waiting for her to do the editing I fulfill my times by finishing the six types of essay and completing what is necessary for my blog. Besides that, we also start recording our voice for that video as only our voice are occupied for our video. I hope we manage to get high scores for this final project.

For the two hours class on Wednesday, Miss Amreet gave us a lecture. She combined the previous week lecture and this week lecture due to she did not give any lectures on the previous week because the class was been canceled because of the LI trip. She was giving the lecture about the Interactive Multimedia Narrative and Linear Narrative. Miss Amreet has upload all the notes in MyGuru so that make it easy for me to do the revision. Why social networking sites is popular?

         

The popularity of social networking sites has rapidly increased over the past few years. Social networks provide many kinds of services and benefits to its users like helping them to connect with new people, share opinions with likeminded people, and stay in touch with old friends and colleagues. Some of the reasons for the popularity of social networking sites are, first is the opportunity to meet new people, second is, they are user-friendly and the last one is, they are free to use.

Firstly, it is popular because people can have the opportunity to meet new people. Social networking gives people an opportunity to meet new people around the world. Users of these sites have access to millions of profiles from around the world. Before the advent of social networking sites, chat rooms were the only way to meet new people on the internet. But, the main drawback of chat rooms was that you may not know the person with whom you are interacting with. The introduction of profiles on social networking sites allowed people to know more information about a person before they interact with them.

Secondly, social networking is user-friendly. This is because, popular social networking sites are built in such a way that they are very much user friendly. Most sites are so easy to navigate that they require very less knowledge of the internet. Infect they offer a better way of connecting with new people than other internet channels like bulletin boards and emails. The mobile versions of these social networking sites are even more user friendly allowing lot more number of people to connect through them.

Finally, it is popular because it is free to use. Most of the highly popular social networking sites like Facebook and Google+ are free which made them open to everybody. These sites mostly make their money through advertisements. Other ways these sites make money is through extra features like games and other applications which should be paid by the users.

As the conclusion, social networking sites are benefits to all the people. They became famous because of it features. The internet has opened up communications across the boundaries of the world. And, social networking has helped people to add friends, make connections, and find people with scarce skills which summarize the reason for their popularity.

Reflection Week Eleven 

Hi!

This week is a week for relaxation because we did not have any lectures or any assignments that need to be submitted. But it was not as relax as you thought because we still have one more assignment that still need to be done which is the Digital Story Telling. We still have to work on it. My group members and I have a problem due to this assignment which is we still did not found any platform that friendly user and can be useful to our assignment. Luckily one of our friends give us an idea and suggestion for us to use another platform that can help us. Our assignment is still in progress, we have started the recording and editing. I hope my group manage to finish our assignment successfully. In that one hour session, Miss Amreet just checking our progress in our blog and give ideas and suggestion for us to improve our blog.

We did not have any classes in Wednesday due to we have exemption lecture for our industrial training trip to Kuala Lumpur. Miss Amreet will have this week lecture in next week class. Thank you to Miss Amreet because we did not have to replace our class. In addition, I also move on with the six types of essay that we need to provide in our blog. Descriptive Essay

My Favorite Food.

               

 

I would say that I love Malaysian Indian food. Coriander, turmeric, cumin and curry feature heavily in Indian dishes along with rich ingredients such as ghee, yoghurt and chili. The best way to describe Indian food is elaborate, fragrant and hot. I love it because I love to eat spicy food and I love the curry smell. Indian food typically utilizes three main elements, ‘Masala’ or fragrant spices, “Dhal’, lentil soup in a pasty texture and chutney. Bread is oven-baked into circular, flat shapes while meats are usually cooked in curries or fried in bright batter. Mutton Kurma, Roti Canai and Tandoori Chicken are the most Indian food that I love.

 Mutton Kurma or mutton curry is a delightful dish of lamb or mutton cooked in a medley of spices-coriander, aniseed, peppercorns, turmeric, cloves, star anise, cinnamon sticks, nutmegs and cardamoms. Cumin is its main ingredient, giving the curry a rich yellow complexion. The taste is simply a delightful blend of spiciness that’s not too overpowering with an explosive zing in the middle. How can I refuse that dish if mutton is the very favorite of mine.

Next is Roti Canai. I am sure that not only me who loves this dish. I think all the society love it. Roti Canai is very common among the Malaysian. A favorite for breakfast, Roti Canai is the ultimate in simplicity and taste. It is basically a kind of pancake made by combining wheat flour, oil, ghee, or butter, rolled up into a ball and then swung into the air until it takes a flat, oval shape. It is then fried on a hot iron plate and served with dhal, chicken or fish curry. There are many variations on the same theme that include putting in eggs to make it ‘Roti Telur’, sardines to make it ‘Roti Sardin’, bananas to make it ‘Roti Pisang’ and so on. Roti Telur is my favorite one.

Last but not least, the extremely be my favorite Indian food was the Tandoori Chicken. Tandoori Chicken is the whole spring chickens or chicken quarters that are marinated in a deep red batter with yoghurt and spices and then skewered on a metal stick. They poles of chicken are gingerly placed in a steaming hot circular oven from the top. Covered for a time and then lifted out, the result is a delicious red chicken that is wonderful to the tongue. Tandoori chicken goes well with a spicy mint sauce and plain or unleavened Naan bread. I always eat this during the weekend with my whole family.

As the conclusion, Indian food is something that delicious and interesting. I would prefer to all the food lover to try this kind of food. I am sure that the Indian food would be your favorite food after you have a try on it.

Children Should Require To Read More.

 

               

 

Reading is probably one of the most beneficial and feasible activities that a man can do. It is through reading that a person is going to be able to discover new ideas, concepts, places, and people. Some people even describe reading as a journey that starts as the opening of a page, and finishes as the last page is turned. Reading is something that is beneficial, especially to your children. Studies show what common sense tells us, the more kids read, the better they read and the more pleasure they get out of reading. Unfortunately, the reverse also holds true, children who read very little usually have poor reading skills. Reading is a struggle for them, and they avoid it whenever possible. We absolutely should encourage our children to read more because it is a key to a good education both in school and socially, to improve their language and increased reading levels correlates to higher test scores.

I firmly believe that reading is the Key to an Education. Children should read more in and out of school. Reading is the key to getting a good education as it opens up the path to everything else. If kids can't read, they don't learn science, math and health. Children need to be able to read to broaden their minds in class, at home and on the Internet. I encourage all the children to read more because someone who full with knowledge and education will be held in high esteem from the social.

Children extremely should be required to read more in school. With technology has come the decline of the language. Most young adults coming out of high school can't spell or use proper grammar. Language is important for communication, and society functions well when people can understand each other. I trust that reading can expand the children vocabulary by exposing the children to more new words. By the increases of a child's vocabulary and grammar, and has the potential to improve their writing skills.

Reading absolutely can help children to score in their examination. When reading, children expose to many things. The more they read, the more knowledge they gain. So that, it can help the children to score in their examination and all the students will become more proactive and will be high competitive among them. Meanwhile, it can raise up the school name due to the students get high scores in the examination.

For the conclusion, reading is something that beneficial for the kids. Parents should take part to encourage their children to read more. Reading is something fun and exciting because the children will gain more knowledge and they can apply the knowledge in their daily life or for the future. We need to train our children from their childhood because that they will replace us in the future and of course we need an excellent generation to be a leader for the future. Colostrum, the yellowish, sticky breast milk produced at the end of pregnancy, is recommended by World Health Organization as the perfect food for the newborn, and feeding should be initiated within the first hour after birth. Exclusive breastfeeding is recommended up to 6 months of age, with continued breastfeeding along with appropriate complementary foods up to two years of age or beyond. Breastfeeding provides a lot of benefits. It can be good for the baby, for the mother and the most important thing is for the financially.

Firstly, it is good for the baby because breastfeeding can protects your baby from the long illnesses. Numerous studies from around the world have shown that stomach viruses, lower respiratory illnesses, ear infections, and meningitis occur less often in breastfed babies and are less severe when they do happen. Exclusive breastfeeding (meaning no solid food, formula, or water) for at least six months seems to offer the most protection. Besides that, breastfeeding can protect your baby from developing allergies. According to the research, babies who are fed a formula based on cow's milk or soy tend to have more allergic reactions than breastfed babies.

Secondly, it is also give advantages to the mother. Breastfeeding can reduces the risk of breast cancer. Women who breastfeed reduce their risk of developing breast cancer by as much as 25 percent. The reduction in cancer risk comes in proportion to the cumulative lifetime duration of breastfeeding. That is, the more months or years a mother breastfeeds, the lower her risk of breast cancer. Furthermore, breastfeeding can promotes emotional health. Not only does breastfeeding benefit a mother’s body, it also benefits her mind. Studies show that breastfeeding mothers show less postpartum anxiety and depression than do formula-feeding mothers.

Finally, breastfeeds can be beneficial to your financially. Since you don't have to buy and measure formula, sterilize nipples, or warm bottles, it saves you time and money. It also gives you regular time to relax quietly with your newborn as you bond. Besides that, according to Natural Resources Defense Council, women who breastfeed avoid the financial burden of buying infant formula, an average expense of $800 per year.

For the conclusion, breastfeeding is something beneficial to be practice for all the mothers. It can be benefits to your baby, to your own health and for your financial. If homework harmful or helpful?

 

 

Homework is defined as an out of class task assigned to students to help them practice and prepare for their future. Homework has been around for a very long time. It is set and traced as a tradition of having teachers assigning work and students completing it. Parents say that teachers require it and teachers say that parents demand more of it. Teachers assign homework to help some students improve their grade and pass the course for those of who do not do well on tests or standardized examinations. Can homework be considered helpful or harmful to students? This controversy turns into arguments and disagreements. For me, homework totally can help students in study because there are many benefits we can get from doing homework. Everyone has their own opinion right? I have my own opinion too about this topic because I think it is better if I say homework is helpful to students. Why? There are my own reasons why I support this topic.

First of all, homework can helps the students to practice what they have learned from the classroom. Our brain is not a computer that can save all the data. We might forget or missed something about what we have learned from the classroom. We need to refresh our brain and recap what we have learned in the classroom. For example, the teacher was taught you about a new topic in mathematics, you may not well versed yet in that topic. So, you can practice more at home by doing the homework that given from the teacher and in the same time you may improve your skill and your understanding about that topic. As a quote said that practice make perfect.

My next reason is, homework helps you to learn new things and re teach you on the things that you already know. When you are doing your homework at home, you can browse all the things that you don’t understand or the new things from the internet. In addition, you also can improve your prior knowledge and you can share it to your classmates. You can be advanced from the other students that do not want to do their homework. This also can helps you become excel in your examination.

Finally, homework may not be fun, but not everything in life is fun. The most important thing about teachers giving homework, is that it helps you so much on standardized tests. You work hard on homework and get better test grades. Everyone likes that. As the opposing side said, sometimes you have so much homework that you miss a baseball game or run out of time to go to your friend's house, that's true. But, education is way more important than recreational events or things. Education can help you to have a bright future.

   For the conclusion, homework actually give many advantages to students and it is helpful to help students to be more understand on what they had learn  in the classroom. Besides that, homework helps teachers determine how well the lessons are being understood by their students. I totally agreed with topic is homework harmful or helpful to students because for my opinion, I choose that homework are helpful to students.     

Reflection Week Ten

Hello week ten!

 

On the first class in this week Miss Amreet did not give any lecture and she asked all of us to have a discussion within our group members about the assignment of the Digital Story Telling and the pair work assignment which is the homepage. First, I have discuss with my group members about the script for our Digital Story Telling and it 60% done. After that I leave to my friend Fatin Zalikha to finish with the script because she need some space to get the inspirations and ideas to writing the script. My partner and I continue with our homepage. Our homepage was 60% done at that time and we still need to add many things in our pages. We need work faster because this Friday is the due date for submitting our homepage. Miss Amreet monitor us during that one hour class. She were checking us whether we are doing our work or not.

The two hours class on that week was fill with the lecture. During the lecture, Miss Amreet encourage us to write succinctly. She told us to always be positive and never be negative because with being positive everything can be done easily. Next, we need to trust the reader that will understand what we write. We need to choose the Anglo-saxon words. Anglo-saxon words means we use the one word that bring the same meaning but the word is extremely bombastic instead of using many words to explain something. I hope I was wright. If I was wrong Miss please correct my mistake. Besides that, we need to remove redundancies, shorten inflated phrases and keep verbs alive. I also learn new word on that day. The word is ‘staycation’ which mean vacation at home.

Finally, my partner and I managed to finish our homepage on time. We do our best for this assignment. I hope Miss Amreet will like it.  That’s all for this week. Hope to see you soon.

Reflection Week Nine

Hi and hello everyone!

As usual, this week we have a session with the lecture and another section with the discussion for our assignment. It was a hectic week because the due date for submitting the second pair work assignment which is the homepage. My partner and I just decided the template that we will use for our homepage and it quite confusing because all the template are nice. Finally we decide to choose one of the template and we started to decorate it slowly.

For this week lecture we continued with a new topic of Writing for Multimedia and Web. The new topic was the important style for informative websites. From the notes that I have jot down, one of the sub-topic from the main topic was the style for academic and scientific website. There are manual style of writing, technical and scientific writing. In writing for academic purposes, a few things that need to be highlight are the font matter, the body content and the back matter. We also need to use a suitable language according to the field of work that we are writing. For example for the lab reports, so we need to write the report with language that suitable with the science field. Miss also had shown us some examples and she also asked us to identify some examples that she given according to what field that the text are.

 In the second class, Miss Amreet let us discuss about our assignments. First me and my partner were discussed about our homepage. After the discussion about the homepage we move on to the discussion about our group assignment which is Digital Story Telling. This time, me and my group were having a difficult problem to be resolved. The platform we chose at first place wasn't really friendly-user, it's hard to deal with. As the result, our group leader have tried to google few platforms might be useful and she managed to find one which is really suitable and precisely helpful. So that’s all for this week, I hope I managed to cope with all the problems that coming. Bye!

 

Reflection Week Eight

           During the one hour class in week eight, Miss Amreet told us to find three good websites and three bad websites and share with the class about what have we found. We need to analyze why we said that the websites is good and beyond. For examples, maybe the websites are bad because of too many colors and very hard to read.           On the two hours class, Miss Amreet asked all of us to discuss within our group members for our next group assignment which is digital story telling. I have discuss with my group members about our assignment. We are using Domo Animate as the software for our digital story telling. Miss Amreet also met with every group leader for each group to ask for our progress about this assignment. My group’s leader, Fatin Zalikha has met her and show her our story line and Miss Amreet had approved it.  That’s all for this week.

Reflection Week Seven

           In week seven, Miss Amreet has teaching us about the writing style for the web. She explained to all of my classmates about the style that we use when writing for the web. She showed us some examples of the good writing style and the bad one. Examples of improper writing style are, using abbreviation when writing, use the taboo words, writing without knowing the reader, using the sensitivity words and writing without checking the grammar and spelling. She give an advice to all of us for using a proper writing style. She gave all of us a homework. She want us to find three website with using the proper writing style and improper writing styles. She wants all of us to evaluate all the websites, for example, why that I said this website using improper style, and I need to show the evidence for the points that I have been stated. She also taught us about the important of writing style. Besides she giving a lecture, she also emphasis about the attendance on that week. She told us for not skipping her class. She asked all the students who skip her class for more than one time to provide a letter for her. I am quite nervous because I am also have skip her class for two times. I hope this can be a lesson for me for not skipping her class anymore. Besides that, we also need to submit our assignment which is web advertisement. The last day to submit the assignment is on this Friday. Fortunately, my pair and I have finish the assignment and we have submit it earlier. I hope that I can improve myself in every aspects next time.

Reflection Week Six

 In week six, on the one hour class, the class still proceed with the presentation because some of my friends still have not done their presentation yet. There are five of my friends who be presenting on that day. Farah was presenting about Trypophobia, trypophobia is one of the skin disease. Farhana was presenting about the amazing fact about human. From her presentation I learned many things about human brain. Next presenter is Mazni. She was presented to the class about Barbie doll. It is very interesting because I love Barbie very much and I learned many things about Barbie. After that, Atiqah was presented about the weirdest marriage and the last presenter is Amira with her topic about lie detection. Finally all my group members have finish our presentation.

  On the Wednesday, as stated in the RI we need to proceed with our next assignment which is web advertisement. Miss Amreet do some briefing about the web advertisement. We need to do it in pairs and my pair is Norain Halim. Miss Amreet suggested for us some URL to make our web advertisement. As an examples, wix.com and I’m creator. I think I would like to us wix.com for my web advertisement. In the web advertisement, we need to promote our Diploma In English course, to make it unique convincing, we need to be creative.  This assignment should be submitted next week which in week seven. First, it is quite confusing for me about how to do this task, but with the guide from Miss Amreet, it make it easier. I will try my best to complete the task given. I hope many ideas will come out after the discussions with my pair for this web advertisement.

Reflection Week Five

           In week five we still proceed with the presentation because many of us still have not present yet including me. On Monday, there are three presenter who presenting. I also had courage to volunteer to present on that day. The first presenter is Norain. She was presenting on the topic of colors. She talk about the types of colors and how that colors effect ourself. She also suggested some colors that suitable to paint our house during this coming Hari Raya. I am the second presenter. I was presenting about shadow puppetry which in Malay we call that as Wayang Kulit. It’s quite nervous when standing in front of the lecturer and the classmates but I throw away that feeling and think positive. I tell myself that, my friends can do it, why not me. So from that I just proceed with my presentation.  Some of the audience felt interested with my presentation and some of them look boring. Maybe because it is in fasting month and they might not be as energetic as before. I do my best for my presentation and I hope get the best, but it is according to my effort too. Thank God because my presentation going smoothly and I hope everybody enjoy my presentation include my beloved lecturer. After my presentation, Jasmin presents her topic. She presents about the Korean games and I looked interesting with the demonstration that she did. I think I should try one of these games. The class for Monday was end by Jasmin’s presentation.  

 

         Same goes with the class on the Wednesday, we still proceed with the presentation. Eight of my classmates were presenting on that day. Eight of them are Nabilah Izzati, Lyana Natasya, Nurul Nabila, Munirah, Grace, Nabila Jeffry, Nazifah and Zarwani. Nabilah Izzati was presenting on the topic of ‘Why Japanese Live so Long’. She told us that Japanese can live so long because of their eating habits. Lyana Natasya was presenting on the ‘Famous Korean Food’. There are many appetizing Korean food but I cannot remember their names because the name is quite hard to be pronounced. I wish to try to eat Korean food one day. Nurul Nabila was presenting about sports. Sport is really important for us and we need to play sport at least once a week because it helps to maintain our health. The next presenter is Munirah. She presented to us about déjà vu. It’s quite interesting. Grace was presenting about water birth. It’s quite impressive to give birth underwater. Grace told us that she consider the water birth because the pain is less than normal delivery. Maybe I should consider it too in my future. Nazifah was presenting about rainbow and Zarwani was presenting about plastic surgery. What I learned from her presentation is, it is not good to do the plastic surgery because it can effected our own life. We need to be thankful with the God gift to us and there’s nothing worth to change what God has create. Finally, all those presentation really give me more new knowledge. I hope I can use all the knowledge in my future.  

 

Reflection Week Four

In week four, we are having the Prezi presentation. During the one hour class on Monday, a few of my friends had volunteered to do the presentation. Three of my classmates have done their presentation in the one hour class and the rest of us could not do the presentation because we do not have enough time. Firstly I really felt nervous to do the presentation because I still did not ready for the presentation. I don’t confident enough to speak in front because I still did not really understand about the topic that I will be presenting. I felt regret for choosing this topic because at last I found hard on how to explain to people because it is related to history. I remain calmed and think positive, I told to myself that I can do it and I felt a little bit released. Luckily on that day few of my friends had volunteered to do the presentation if not Miss Amreet will call our name randomly. The first presenter who had courage to be a volunteer to present first is Nuraminah. She was presenting about the skin. It is an interesting topic and I learned on how to take care of my skin, how to make my own face scrub and types of the human skin. The next presenter is Nur Liyana. She was presenting about the music. I gained more new knowledge from her presentation about the music. She said that we can recognize someone characteristic by his/her favorite music. The last presenter for that day is Rosmariah. She was presenting about ‘misai kucing’. Actually misai kucing is good to threat a disease such as Diabetes. Misai kucing also have it side effects. For example, a pregnant woman cannot take misai kucing during pregnancy.

On Wednesday, there are nine of classmates who presented on that day. The first presenter on that day is Asma’. She was presenting on the topic of tears. One of the things that I learned from her presentation is woman cry more that man. The next presenter is Shahira. She presented about the bucket list. Bucket list is you list down all the things that you want to do in your journey of life. She suggested many bucket list. For examples, bungee jumping, sky diving and scuba diving. Her presentation was very interesting with the video that she showed to us. I think someday I want to do the bungee jumping maybe. After that, Anis Aimi was presenting about lipsticks. From her presentation, I learned on how the lipsticks were made and how to make the lipsticks lasting on your lips for almost 24 hours. The next one is Nadhirah Nur. She was presenting on the topic of Mount Everest. There are many climbers who cannot survive during the climbing because it was so cold up there. Rosnita also be presenting on that day. She presents about ‘mimosa pudica’ or in Malay we call that as pokok semalu. Other name of the ‘mimosa pudica’ is touch me not. Syakirah Afifah, Fatin Zalikha and Norizatul Shahira also be presenting on that day. Syakirah was presenting on the topic of psychology. Fatin was presenting about MH370. She told us how the MH370 lost from the radar and some speculations about the tragedy. The loss of MH370 is very puzzling for all the people. The last presenter on that day and that week is Norizatul Shahira. She was presents about high heels. She showed us a video on how the right way to walk when wearing the high heels.

So far, all of the presentation on that week was going smoothly. I hope I can do better for my presentation.  

 

          

Reflection Week Three

It’s time for week three. In this week, I have learned about the Blog. Unfortunately there are no internet connections on that day and Miss Amreet just introduced to me and my classmates to the Blog. She tell us what Blog use for and how to make your own Blog. Blog has many advantages such as, we can share every knowledge that we have to the public, we can share our opinion and thought about the current issues and we can use Blog as our online diary as we can share what we do in our daily life and we can share about the places that we have visited to the people in the whole world. She also taught us how to make our personal Blog using the Blogger.com.my. It was just easy and took a simple step to create our personal blog as we have a Google Mail account. It was very interesting part for me to have a personal blog because before this I never have any blog. Miss Amreet told us to include three essays which are about myself, my family and my friends into our blog. She also told us to include our reflection from week to week in our blog. Besides that, we also need to write six types of essays for example, comparison and contrast, argumentative and cause and effect essays and we need to post them into our blog. We have a lot of things to do for this assignment and I have to be ready for the next coming assignments.   

 

 

Reflection Week Two

 In the second week, in the one hour class on Monday, we asked for our lecturer approval for our topic. I choose Shadow Puppetry or in Malay we call that as Wayang Kulit. From this topic I decide to tell about the history of the Shadow Puppetry and how it became as a culture in some countries from Asia to Europe. Firstly I felt nervous that she will not approved my topic but after I showed her about what I will presenting and she approved it because she said that she don’t know much about the Shadow Puppetry. I’m felt happy because I don’t have to waste my time to find another topic and I can start doing my research on this topic and I can start doing the Prezi slide for my presentation. I choose this topic because, last month when I went to an exhibition held at my home town at Kelantan, they had presented the Shadow Puppetry show to the public and I saw many people were interested to watch the show. I was there too to watch the Shadow Puppetry show. At that time, it comes to my mind that how the Wayang Kulit come to Malaysia and become a culture in Malaysia. Then I immediately choose this topic for my presentation as I want to know about that. After I’m do some research, I found that not only in Malaysia have this culture but other country also have this culture in their country such as, China, India, Turkey and French. In the two hours class on Wednesday, we have a Prezi workshop. Even though we had learned about Prezi in the last semester, but from this workshop we can refresh what we have learned and enhance our skill in making the Prezi presentation.

Reflection Week One

I am a Diploma In English student from Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris. Now, I am in Semester four. In this semester, I am taking six courses and one of the courses is, Writing for Multimedia and Web. The instructor for this subject is Miss Amreet Kaur. In this course, she asked all of the students in my class to make a reflection from week to week about what we have learn from this subject during our 14 weeks lectures. We have three hours lectures for a week which is one hour in Monday and two hours in Wednesday.

In our first class in the first week, we were having the introducing session between the lecturer and the students. My first impression for Miss Amreet Kaur is, I thought she is a very strict and fierce person but I was wrong. She is actually a nice and friendly but with a little strict. She is also a beautiful and polite Indian woman. She said that my batch is the first batch that she is teaching in this university. Before this, she was a lecturer at Universiti Sains Malaysia. After knowing about her background for a little bit, it was our time to introduce ourselves. Each of us has introduced ourselves. Besides that, she also asking what is our expectation about this course. My assumption is I think we will learn about the internet, about the web, about the applications online and about everything that is online. For the second class in that week, because of there were too many students in our group and it cannot afford a computer lab so we needed to separate to a new group. Some of us were volunteered to move to the other group. So there were in about 30 students in a group. She also asked all of us to find a topic for our Prezi presentation in the week four. She asked all of us to prepare a topic that is informative and unique to be presented. She said that to find a topic about something that we know better or something that we want to know and want learn. At that time I was thinking what will be my topic for my Prezi presentation. After that, she showed us the instructional plan and did some briefing about that. That's all what we do on that week.  

 

 

My Friends

There is a saying that goes “A friend in need is a friend indeed”. This proverb means that true friends are those who will always be there for us and stick by us through thick and thin. I believe that every human being in this world must have friends in order to lead a happy life. In other words, nobody can survive in this world in this complex world as a hermit crab. We have all kinds of friend but good friends are the ones whom we always depend on and we cherish the happy moments we spend together. For me, yes, I do have the awesome friends.

Wan Ruhani Binti Wan Ramli and Nur Najwa Binti Ibrahim. Both of them are my best friends since at school. They are my doctor, my army, and they like my sisters to me. They are always with me through thick and thin. They always help me when I lost, they help me when I fall and they are my reminder for me to always keep the best. Both of them are really crazy and awesome friends. I really adore both of them. They are brilliant and beautiful. We always do the crazy things together and share our dirty little secrets together. They know my weaknesses and me beyond. Now, time force us to be separated. We are getting older and we have our own future and goal to archive. Now, Hani is in UITM Sri Iskandar and Wawa just finished her Matriculation and waiting to further her study in degree and me myself is in UPSI. Even though we stay apart we still contacted and meet each other during our free time. I hope this relationship will last forever and I hope all of us will have a bright future. InsyaAllah.

After both of them, I have Hippo, my awesome friends in UPSI. Hippo is our group name. We named it as Hippo because all of us love to eat and it describe as an Hippo because Hippo is an animal that big and love to eat. They are six of us. Me, Syera, Anis, Maria, Ain and Munirah. We are taking the same course and we are classmates. They are like my second family. They are really a friend indeed. They always help me to solve my problems in UPSI, they help me in my assignments and they are always with me when I need them. All of them are very funny. They love to make jokes. They always put a smile on my face. We never quarrel with each other and we are like siblings. We understand each other and always try to be the best friends among each other. The most important thing, when I with them it cure my longing to my family. I love them very much and I hope we always remember each other and remember our good friendship until the end of the time.

Last but not least, I have someone that really special to me. He is the best buddy of mine. He is my soul mate. My best buddy ever. We know each other for almost three years. Many things we share together. He knows my imperfectness and he love it. He remembers all the substantial day in my life. He cares about me. He is my shoulder to cry on. He always supports me at the back and he is like the back bone of mine. We are best friends and we are like brother and sister. He loves everything that I love and same goes with me. I can feel the chemistry between both of us. He always made my day. What can I describe about him is he is like an angel to me. I hope this relationship will last forever and will always be my best friends forever.
