My Family

Century ago, people began to say that ‘blood is thicker than water’. Well I still believe them to be right. That what can I convey to a family relationship. To me my family really means everything in my life. My parents and siblings are those who I can always turn to for help and affection. I have a big family. My family consist of my parents and my seven other sibling and including me. I have five brothers, a sister and a younger sister. I am the seventh from eight of them. Truth to be told, that it is a blessing to have a big family.

 

My parents are the back bone of mine. I can’t even see the world without them. They are my reason why I’m breathing, they are my friends, my soul, my angle, my guardian, my map, my light and my everything. They used to hold me and clean me and clothe me. They used to feed me and always be with me. When I was sick they stay up all night. They hold me tight. They used to hear me before I could talk. They used to hold me before I could walk and when I fell they picked me up and clean my cut. They always hug me even I’m a big girl. They always wipe my tears every time when I cry. They always be next to me and support me in everything. They never leave me alone. My parents have never scolded me and my siblings unreasonably. No matter what we have done, they always have cordial words and a piece of advice for us and it really works. I love them very much. I hope I could reply their good did to me along of the journey of my life. I really want to take care of them in their old age like how they take care of me since I was a baby.  

 

I have five tough brothers. They are my protection after my dad. They always take care of me. Each of them showed a good example to me. My eldest brother was married and has three children. My other brothers are still single and available. My second brother work as an army and my third brother is a policeman. I’m proud for both of them because they choose the occupation which to protect our beloved country from danger. My fourth brother has just finished his study in doing Master. He studied in Polymer and now he works at one of the rubber company at Sungai Buloh. He is a graduate from Univeriti Sains Malaysia (USM). My fifth brother is still struggling to have a better job. Whatever they are being, I always love them because they are my place for me to get the protection after my parents.

 

My sisters are like an angle to me. They are born with very beautiful face and fair skin. Sometimes I feel jealous with them because I’m not as fair as them. Both of them are very understanding. I always share with them about the girls matter. They always give good advices for me to keep me stay strong in life. They always cheer me up when I was upset. They make my day with their jokes. They are my shoulder to cry on. Even though we always quarrel each other but we still stick together because we cannot live without each other. I don’t know what will happen without both of them. My sister is 10 years older than me and she has married and has two children now, but it is not a problem for us to get close to each other. My younger sister is still in high school and she is very spoiled because she is the youngest in our family members.

 

No matter what happens, I still will choose my family instead of anything else because a family is hard to found and nothing can replace my family. Even they do something bad to me, I still choose to love them and forgive them because they like a gift from God for me. I will take care of them and I will always stick together with them through thick and thin. They really meant to me. I can’t imagine how my life will go on without all of them. Appreciate your family as long as you still have them.

My Self

It was earlier in the morning of the Wednesday in a very peaceful village at Tanah Merah, in the state of Kelantan. It was on the 9 August in the year of 1995, a child was born on that day and she was a girl. It was a blessing for the mother to have another daughter in their family after giving birth for five son and a daughter. It was a pleasure to have one more daughter in her and her husband life because they have grew five son and they really hopes that they will have daughters too. The father of the mother gave a name to that baby girl with a classic and evergreen name, and the name is Siti Hamidah. They call the baby as Hamidah because the meaning of that name is praising Allah. It was very nice to hear that. They grew the baby from she was a baby girl until she became a woman. The parents take care of the girl with full of love and give the happiness to that girl.

It was in 2001, the girl was get in to 6 years old and ready to go to the kindergarten. The parents sent her to the Tabika Perpaduan Manal Jaya nearer to their house. She is a very active girl. She loves to eat everything that her mom’s cook. She also an independent girl. She can walk to school alone and she can help her mother to take care of her younger sister when her mother was not around. What can be describe to this 6 years old girl is she is reliable even though she is a small girl.

The girl was growing. She had entered the primary school at Sekolah Kebangsaan Tanah Merah Satu. Like what have been told earlier, she is very independent. Their parents don’t have to send her to school because she already can go to school by the school bus herself. Like another girl coeval with her, she is a girl full with imaginations. She loves to trance to be like someone who’s better than her but she has to belief that she just a simple girl. She love to dress and she always take care of her personality since she was in primary school. She is also quite a clever girl. She always be in the first class from standard one until six. She scored 4 A’s for Ujian Penilaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) and that was quite impressing for her parents and friends.

A few years past and the girl become a teenager. She was growing very fast and her attitudes also slowly changing. She learned to have a feeling towards a boy. She learned to be in love with a boy and having an affair with a boy. She learned everything throughout the growing process. She was becoming to a stubborn and lazy girl. She disobey her parents and she always disappointed her parents. Her study performance going down so badly and she was not like the old girl. One day, something bad happened to her, she was caught having a date with her boyfriend by her teacher. The teacher bring her to the principle and called their parents. It was very embarrassing. Her parents scold her because she put a shame to her parents face. Her father hit her as lesson for her. She felt very regret for all that happened. She apologized to her parents and promise to change and never do that again. That bad event have changed her to a better person. She obey her parents and obey to Allah. She focus to her study and thank God she manage to get a good result in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM). She managed to get 6 A’s in her SPM. It was a blessing for her parents after all the bad attitudes that she did before.

Now, she is in a one of the university in Malaysia. She is in Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris. She took the Diploma In English program. Her mother want her to be an educator and she hopes she can fulfill her mother’s hopes. In the first semester she got less than 3.00 for her result. The bad result make her to determine to study hard to get a better result. In semester two her result getting up to 3.35 and she felt thankful but she still has to work hard. For the third semester, she managed to get the dean list. She very praised but she still need to work hard to get a better result and keep it up until the end of the Diploma program. She determines to further her study and she really want to chase her dream to be an educator to the new generation. She is a girl that full with hopes and she is very ambitious to fulfill her mother dreams. The girl is really actually myself. The girl was me and this is the story of my life.
